Cook Islands -Palmerston Atoll

There is a beautiful Atoll in the northern cook islands called Palmerston Island. It was originally settled by a man named William Marston who took three island wives and had seven children with each. Twenty one kids ! Over the years male decendents have taken wives from outside the island to keep the bloodlines moving. About 70 permanent residents, all direct descendents now live on the island. We spent a wonderful time there. The children were having a mini olympics while we there. The families made us breakfast donuts, lunch and dinners of fish and whatever they had. All was free! Even though they only get supply boats a couple times a year. These were some of the friendliest and happiest people we have ever met.
